Unlike Raisins Gaulois, it was bottled in spring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNose: Thyme, medicinal herbs and cedar, gradually developing strawberry and blueberry jam.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePalate: Clear, extended fruit reminiscent of Jonathan apple filling. Concentrated berries evolve into fresh strawberry tea with savoury depth. Substantial yet fine, smooth tannins lead to a porcini-like finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMarcel Lapierre helped establish French natural wine and influenced producers throughout Beaujolais and beyond. After his death in autumn 2010, his son Mathieu took responsibility for the family's Morgon-rooted winemaking. Organic cultivation has been practised since 1981, without chemical fertilisers, herbicides or insecticides, and grapes are harvested entirely by hand. Indigenous yeasts drive semi-carbonic maceration. Wines other than Raisins Gaulois mature on their lees in old barrels.
