Egan's Legacy Reserve IV 18 Year Old is an aged triple-distilled Irish single malt whiskey bottled at 46% ABV in a standard 700ml limited reserve bottling from P.&H. Eagan of Ireland. This 18-year matured Irish malt layers soft creamy barley malt with concentrated baked stone fruit, polished bourbon vanilla and subtle toasted nut sweetness, balanced by clean rock sugar to form a rich, well-rounded silky aged profile. The nose releases sun-dried apricot, soft bourbon wood, toasted almond, mild honey blossom and gentle caramel. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, with dense ripe summer fruit compote, mellow clean malt sweetness, faint warm woody spice, and a lingering fruit-and-oak aged malt depth. The long, smooth finish underscores the refined unpeated character of this vintage long-matured Irish single malt reserve small-batch bottling.
