In November 2023, Time Keys Co., Ltd. was officially founded, a brand born from the founder, Mr. Kiyokawa’s, simple yet sincere vision. At the outset, Mr. Kiyokawa noticed that the variety of international whiskies available in Japanese market was far from sufficient, and he hoped to share some of his favorite foreign limited-edition bottles with more people.
Driven by this passion, he decided to open a small online whisky store, The Whisky Legend, resolved to import these bottles independently—, hoping to bring new vitality to the sluggish Japanese market.
In the early stages of the brand’s development, Time Keys Co., Ltd. focused primarily on this online whisky store, emphasizing the careful selection of foreign limited-edition whiskies and the optimization of the online shopping experience.
In 2024
As the online store began to operate successfully,an increasing number of local liquor merchants started placing orders, prompting us to expand the scale of our import business. Meanwhile, through direct communication with foreign agents, Mr. Kiyokawa noticed that there was significant overseas demand for Japanese limited-edition spirits.
After two years of growth and development, we opened a physical store for The Whisky Legend in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in August 2025.
This physical store has become a new gathering place for whisky,enthusiasts, with an increasing number of customers visiting to engage in in-depth discussions about the industry and the distinctive flavors of various whiskies. Unlike ordinary whisky shops, we focus exclusively on bottles that cannot be found elsewhere. Customers are also given the opportunity to taste these whiskies on-site and experience the unique charm of rare expressions up close.
In 2026, we decided to do something more meaningful!
We noticed that many spirit enthusiasts are fond of the bottles available here. However, due to Japan’s transportation laws and regulations, it is has traditionally been difficult to ship these spirits overseas as easily as it is in Europe.
Fortunately, we have now solved this problem！so we decided to open a new platform——Bottle Of Japan. Through this platform, we hope to deliver these exceptional bottles directly to enthusiasts around the world with our passion and professionalism.
We now offer a wide selection of limited edition bottles as well as old and rare expressions, and we look forward to connecting directly with collectors and enthusiasts to hear their feedback and suggestions.
