Safe Hands

During checkout you will have the opportunity to add Safe Hands to qualifying purchases. This is our optional service that entitles you to no quibble replacements, refunds, and returns if there is an issue with your delivery – giving you complete peace of mind for your purchase. The cost of the service is 3% of your order total (excluding delivery).

Terms:

  • Full Replacement: No quibble replacement for any lost deliveries reported within 72 hours of expected delivery
  • Full Replacement: No quibble replacement for any items damaged in delivery
  • Full Refund: If we are unable to replace your items from stock, we will issue a full refund to your card within 7 days

Not covered:

  • Accidental damage after delivery of items
  • Personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements, or in instances where the seal is broken, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Prohibited delivery

  • PO boxes are not acceptable for delivery purposes.
  • Schools are not acceptable addresses due to the nature of the contents of the packages.
  • We cannot deliver to military bases.

Additional delivery notes:

  • Delivery is calculated per bottle, where a standard bottle is assumed to weigh 1.75kg. Please note that delivery for some larger items may cost more due to additional weight or packaging requirements.
  • We do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday unless by special arrangement.
  • Overseas deliveries require a lead-time of 7-10 working days for all orders. If you have not received your goods within 21 days please contact us immediately.
  • PO boxes are not acceptable for delivery purposes.
  • We cannot deliver to military bases.
  • We cannot arrange for packages to be insured at extra cost although we do offer a Guaranteed Delivery service – please contact us for a quotation.
  • We require someone of legal age under local licensing laws to be present at the delivery address to sign for acceptance of the goods. Goods are dispatched by a third party courier and their terms and conditions apply.
  • Bottle Of Japan will have paid the full amount of JP Excise Duty on all goods shipped to international markets. The customer is wholly responsible for any and all local customs and import duties and taxes attaching to the goods shipped. The customer warrants and represents to Bottle Of Japan that there are no import restrictions applying to our goods and that all such goods shipped to the customer are being legally imported to the customer’s local market, tax and duty paid. The customer shall indemnify Bottle Of Japan from and against the costs of any claim against Bottle Of Japan arising from a breach of the customer’s warranty as stated above.
  • Bottle Of Japan, where appropriate, will complete a customs declaration form declaring ‘Specialist Malt Whisky, No Commercial Value’ and stating replacement value.
  • Whisky is sent entirely at the customers own risk as we are unable to guarantee safe delivery.
