Finger Lakes McKenzie Straight Rye is a New York craft straight rye whiskey made by Finger Lakes Distillery, bottled at 45.5% ABV in a standard 750ml US bottle. Aged in new charred oak barrels, it delivers the classic spicy backbone of rye balanced with soft fruity sweetness unique to Northeastern American craft spirits. The nose features bold black pepper, dried rye grain, dark cherry, vanilla and subtle charred oak. On the palate, bright peppery spice leads, followed by dark fruit jam and mild caramel, balanced by smooth medium alcohol warmth. It finishes medium-long with lingering clove spice and faint dried berry notes. This approachable craft rye works well neat, over ice, or as a sturdy base for classic rye cocktails.
