North Star Caol Ila 8 Year Old 2014 is an independent Islay peated single malt from North Star Spirits, bottled at 51% ABV in a standard 700ml format, distilled in 2014 and matured eight full years in handpicked oak casks. The nose presents smouldering coastal peat smoke, ripe green apple, briny sea salt, subtle lemon zest and soft malty sweetness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with punchy smoky-fruited brightness, layered maritime oak complexity, and a long warm lingering finish. The finish highlights the classic briny peated coastal Islay malt character of limited single-cask independent bottling.
