In 1998, we began contract cultivation with 10 farmers in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, which has a reputation for growing Merlot. The high altitude, cool climate, and well-drained soil produce grapes with rich fruit flavors. In 2012, we were blessed with particularly good weather, and were able to harvest healthy grapes. We focused on effortlessly bringing out the characteristics of the variety, aiming for a wine that is more elegant than powerful. We use only the best grapes from our contracted farmers.
