Made from 100% Miyazaki mangoes, this gently sweet sparkling wine is crafted for adults. The product was developed through an industry-academia-government collaboration involving Tsuno Wine, a regional coastal-area partnership initiative in northern Miyazaki, and the Miyazaki Prefectural Economic Federation's efforts to build the Miyazaki mango brand. A research group led by Professor Kawahara of Kyushu University of Health and Welfare identified the potential of mango juice in the prevention and improvement of age-related dementia. During a period of mango shortages driven by booming demand, the Miyazaki Prefectural Economic Federation arranged collection from agricultural cooperatives across the prefecture, enabling Tsuno Wine to produce and commercialize the mango wine. Mangoes—often named alongside cherimoya and mangosteen as one of the world's three finest fruits—are said to be rich in vitamins, beta-carotene and calcium.
