Murray McDavid Peatside 7 Year Old 2015 is a youthful peated Scottish single malt independently bottled by Murray McDavid at cask strength 50% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, matured in select oak casks delivering bold smoldering peat smoke, zesty citrus fruit and soft vanilla malt layers. Its aroma bursts with campfire peat smoke, bright lemon citrus, faint medicinal iodine, light honeyed malt and subtle toasty oak despite the robust undiluted high proof. The palate delivers vibrant smoky citrus brightness upfront, wrapped in balanced integrated oak tannins and full-bodied peated malt core. It finishes medium-short, earthy and zesty with lingering ashy smoke tones, best savoured with a tiny splash of water to soften its intense youthful peated cask-strength character.
