Distilleries Collection The Finest Speyside 29 Year Old 1988 is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Scotch Malt Sales, bottled at 48.5% ABV with a volume of 700ml. Hailing from Scotland’s renowned Speyside region, this vintage 1988 expression spent 29 years maturing in oak casks. Extended ageing has softened youthful sharpness and woven together rich layered aromatics. The nose offers ripe dried orchard fruits, honeyed malt, warm vanilla, subtle dried herbs and light dark chocolate. The palate delivers luscious stewed fruits, toffee, gentle oak tannins and a whisper of warm baking spice. The lengthy finish unfolds slow, enduring notes of honey, dried fruit and polished oak. Balanced at 48.5%, it shines neat; a small drop of water unlocks additional floral and fruity depth.
