Old Particular Cheers to Better Days Port Dundas 15 Years Old 2006 is a rare closed-distillery grain whisky bottled independently by Douglas Laing, distilled in 2006 with fifteen years of ageing at 48.4% ABV within a 700ml bottle. Part of the commemorative Old Particular limited series, it revives the classic gentle character of the defunct Port Dundas distillery. Its aroma carries sweet vanilla, butterscotch, ripe stone fruits and subtle warm oak notes with soft cereal sweetness. The palate presents creamy caramel, baked fruits and mild wood spice, paired with robust yet silky alcoholic intensity free from harshness. It features a sustained finish of lingering toffee sweetness and faint nutty oak, prized by collectors and best savoured neat to experience this discontinued distillery’s precious mellow flavour.
