Saint James Millesime 2001 is a vintage aged agricultural rum crafted by Distillery St. James from Martinique, bottled at 43% ABV within a 700-millilitre container. Produced from fresh sugarcane juice under Martinique’s protected AOC certification, this single-vintage spirit carries rich aromas of ripe tropical fruit, subtle vanilla oak spice, dried candied fruit and gentle smoky wood notes accumulated through long-term cask maturation. The palate unfolds smooth layered sweetness of banana and pineapple, warm toasted oak spice, light caramel and delicate herbal cane undertones, with well-integrated alcohol delivering silky texture free of harshness. It finishes steadily with lingering oak warmth, preserved tropical fruit sweetness and faint nutty nuances, showcasing the refined complexity brought by decades of patient barrel ageing of classic French Caribbean rum.
