Laphroaig 10 Years Old Cask Strength Batch 17 is an official Islay single malt distillery bottling, filled at a powerful cask strength of 58.3% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Matured for a decade, it delivers the distillery’s iconic medicinal peat amplified by undiluted cask intensity. The nose bursts with smouldering seaweed peat, bold iodine, briny coastal salt, ripe lemon and sweet vanilla oak. On the palate, ferocious smoky medicinal notes dominate, balanced by bright citrus sweetness, robust malty backbone and fierce high-proof warmth, with polished sea-salted oak tannins. Its lengthy finish lingers on heavy peat smoke, mineral brine and candied lemon peel; it is best enjoyed neat or with a tiny splash of mineral water to soften its intense cask strength.
