Aberlour AbunA Batch 81 is a cask-strength Speyside single malt official distillery bottling at a powerful 61.6% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Matured exclusively in ex-sherry oak casks, it delivers rich, concentrated dark dried fruit, creamy vanilla, dark chocolate and bold baking spice with classic full Speyside malt sweetness. Its nose bursts with thick sultana compote, dark fig, milk chocolate, cinnamon stick, clove, honeyed malt and heavy sherry oak. The palate holds intense jammy dark fruit sweetness, prominent high cask strength heat, layered black stone fruit and firm tannic sherry wood. The finish is extremely long, warm and decadent, with lingering raisin, treacle and spiced chocolate vibrancy. Best enjoyed with a small splash of water to soften the bold alcohol, matching dark chocolate truffles, dried fruit cakes and aged nutty hard cheeses.
