Silver Seal Imperial 27 Years Old 1995 for LMDW is an exclusive independent single cask bottling from Silver Seal, crafted for La Maison du Whisky, a rare closed Speyside distillery malt bottled at cask strength 50.4% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Distilled in 1995 and matured for twenty-seven years in premium oak casks, it delivers rich dried stone fruit compote, thick honeyed apricot, velvety dark caramel, polished nutty sherry oak, soft candied citrus and subtle dried floral herbal undertones characteristic of long-aged Speyside malt. The nose unfolds with jammy raisin and apricot, warm vanilla custard and deep roasted oak sweetness amplified by its elevated strength. The palate balances silky concentrated fruity malt richness with layered integrated oak depth, faint orange zest lift and tightly structured rounded tannins. Its exceptionally lengthy warming finish lingers with honeyed dried fruit, spiced nutty oak and delicate dried floral whispers. Best savoured neat with a tiny splash of spring water to soften the robust alcohol and unveil the intricate multi-decade aged flavour complexity of this scarce silent distillery release.
