Extra Old Particular Tomintoul 30 Years Old 1989 is an independent bottling launched by Douglas Laing’s classic XOP series, originating from Speyside distillery Tomintoul, with a specification of 700ml and natural cask strength at 52.8% ABV. Distilled in 1989 and matured for thirty long years, it represents an ultra-long-aged rare single cask release. It delivers abundant aromas of ripe stone fruits, dried apricots, creamy vanilla, honeyed caramel and mellow aged oak, free of peat smoke and embodying classic Speyside gentle fruity style. The high-proof palate unfolds concentrated dried fruit sweetness, silky malt texture and subtle polished wood spices well integrated after decades of ageing, without sharp alcohol irritation. It has an exceptionally lengthy and smooth finish filled with lingering honey sweetness and warm oak undertones. Limited yield from a single cask endows this whisky extremely high tasting value and great collectible appeal among vintage whisky collectors.
