Our goal this time was not to create a ``liqueur made from specialty coffee,'' but to create an alcoholic beverage using the espresso we drink on a daily basis in Italy.
The raw material is coffee beans from Colombia. We select lots with fruit flavors and transparency, and extract them with an emphasis on balance and taste as an espresso, rather than exaggerating the uniqueness of the region of origin. Layering herbs on top creates depth and a lingering sound. We aimed for a three-dimensional flavor that was reminiscent of everyday life in Italy, but was more than just a coffee drink. Starting with highly pure espresso, Iseya Sake Brewery has combined its technology to design two bottles with different personalities and are to be drunk at different times.
ESPRESSO LIQUEUR — Aperitivo A bottle made by layering espresso with a spirit designed with about 20 types of botanicals, with citrus as the main ingredient.
We aim for a clean taste that can serve as an aperitif.
The coffee's fruit and roast aromas blend naturally with the citrus outline and herbal nuances, resulting in an extremely well-balanced finish.
Not only can it be used with soda and tonic, but it can also be used in espresso, martini, and various cocktails.
An espresso liqueur that does not "get in the way" as a base, but rather elevates the overall quality.
