Fontagard Single Malt DMGR is a layered French single malt produced by Fontagard Distillery in France, bottled at a slightly elevated 44.6% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Forged through continental wine cask maturation, this variant delivers deeper dried fruit and warm spice character that distinguishes it from the distillery’s lighter core releases. The nose bursts with sun-dried fig, dark apricot jam, ripe black grape, soft cereal honey and toasted vanilla oak with subtle dried herb undertones. On the palate, rich preserved fruit sweetness balances silky rounded malt and gentle medium alcohol warmth, framed by well-integrated wine-cask oak tannins. Its medium lingering finish carries dark stone fruit, light cinnamon spice and faint nutty wood notes, ideal for side-by-side comparative tastings with other Fontagard expressions, neat sipping or light dilution with spring water.
