Yamaga Distillery New Pot #5 Peated is a youthful peated Japanese new make crafted by Yamaga Distillery at potent cask strength 60% ABV with a compact 250ml volume. Freshly distilled from peated malt with minimal oak maturation, it delivers sharp smoky peat balanced with bright raw cereal sweetness and subtle citrus green fruit notes. The aroma carries smoldering peat ash, fresh barley grain, unripe lime, and faint yeast undertones. The palate offers concentrated fiery grain core, mild medicinal smoke spice and silky full texture. It holds a short vibrant finish with lingering raw malt smoke brightness and faint citrus warmth. Best sampled neat, a tiny drop of water softens its intense strength and reveals delicate young peated grain layers.
