Omar Cask Strength Lychee Barrel is a Taiwanese single malt whisky from Nantou Distillery, matured in lychee wine casks. The nose presents fragrant fresh lychee fruit, floral rose aroma, honey malt and subtle tropical fruit sweetness, accompanied by gentle vanilla oak. On the palate, juicy lychee flesh takes centre stage, blended with white peach, light fruit syrup and soft caramel oak spice. Bottled at cask strength, it delivers a rich, rounded texture showcasing distinctive oriental fruity character. The finish is medium-long, filled with lingering elegant lychee sweetness and warm malt notes. Best enjoyed neat; a tiny splash of water can bring forward extra floral and fruity layers.
