Claxton's Exploration Dailuaine 8 Year Old 2013 is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Claxton's Spirits, at 50% ABV, 700ml. Distilled at Dailuaine Distillery in the Speyside region in 2013 and matured for 8 years before release under Claxton’s Exploration series. It embodies classic Speyside fruity malt character. On the nose you will find ripe pear, honeyed malt, vanilla custard and light dried stone fruit. The palate delivers rich orchard fruit, toffee, subtle spice and gentle oak influence, balanced nicely by its 50% strength without overwhelming heat. The finish is medium-long, with lingering honey, baked apple and soft wood sweetness. Best enjoyed neat; a small splash of water will further open up the fruit aromatics.
