New Grove Single Cask 2008 for JIS is a tropical Mauritian single cask rum bottled by Glaze Distillery at 49.8% ABV with a 700ml volume. Distilled in 2008 and matured long-term in oak barrels on the island of Mauritius, it delivers rich molasses tropical sweetness balanced with ripe stone fruit and warm vanilla oak notes. The aroma carries dark cane molasses, dried mango, caramelized brown sugar, mild apricot jam and polished oak undertones. The palate offers smooth thick tropical fruit core, gentle warm tannin spice and velvety full texture. It holds an extended lingering finish with deep ripe fruit brightness and quiet molasses oak depth. Best savoured neat, light water dilution softens its strength to reveal multi-layered tropical dried fruit and rich sugarcane flavours.
