Claxton's Exploration Tullibardine 12 Year Old 2010 is a twelve-year Highland single malt independent bottling by Claxton's Spirits at 50% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, matured fully in ex-bourbon casks for soft floral fruit and rounded vanilla oak layers. Its aroma unfolds with poached pear compote, wild clover honey, light coconut oak, faint herbal grassiness and mild cereal sweetness, lengthy barrel ageing softens all harsh youthful tannic edges. The palate delivers gentle cooked orchard fruit sweetness upfront, intertwined with silky smooth oak and a delicate light malt backbone. It carries a soft medium-length floral-fruited finish of lingering mild toffee, ideal for slow chilled neat sipping and light refreshing fruit highballs.
