Aqua Vitae Balmenach 8 Year Old 2013 Shubun is a limited independent bottling Speyside single malt by Aqua Vitae Whisky Selection at cask strength 54.1% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, matured in exclusive oak casks delivering bright orchard fruit, aromatic spice and creamy rich malt layers. Its aroma bursts with crisp green apple, ripe pear, warm ginger spice, honeyed floral malt and subtle vanilla oak despite the potent undiluted proof. The palate delivers vibrant sweet fruit brightness upfront, wrapped in dense integrated oak tannins and full-bodied creamy malt core. It finishes medium-long, bright and fruity with lingering soft spice tones, best savoured with a small splash of water to soften its powerful cask-strength character.
