Whisky Find Cheng Wen Romance of the Three Kingdoms Pang Laphroaig 12 Year Old 2011 is a high-proof peated Islay single malt independently bottled by Whisky Find at 55.7% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, matured in ex-bourbon casks to unite thick medicinal peat with ripe tropical fruit and firm light toasted oak. Its aroma bursts with intense smouldering coastal peat, faint sea salt brine, ripe tropical fruit, warm vanilla custard and subtle dried seaweed without harsh alcoholic heat despite the elevated strength. The palate delivers bright sweet fruit brightness upfront, wrapped in dense smoky peat and smooth mild oak tannins. It finishes long, bold and saline with lingering ashy fruit notes, a themed limited single cask best enjoyed with a tiny splash of water to soften its robust cask strength character.
