Extra Old Particular Tomore 35 Year Old 1988 is an ultra-aged Speyside single malt independently bottled by Douglas Laing at 46.2% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, distilled in 1988 and matured for 35 years in classic Oloroso sherry oak casks. Decades of slow oxidative maturation deliver deep dark dried fruit, roasted nut, leather and rich sherry spice without peat smoke influence. Its nose unfolds with dark sultana, dried fig, roasted walnut, polished leather, cinnamon stick and molasses oak. The palate offers silky rounded dried fruit sweetness, prominent medium spirit warmth, layered dark orchard fruit and firm mellow tannins from long cask ageing. It has an extremely long, warm finish with lingering fig, raisin and nutty wood vibrancy. Served lightly chilled neat as a premium digestif, matching dark chocolate truffles, aged hard sheep’s cheese and braised dried fruit desserts.
