Plantation Panama 2010 Sherry Cask is a tropical Panama rum produced by Maison Ferrand at cask strength 50.3% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Distilled in 2010 and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it balances bright tropical cane fruit with rich dried dark fruit and nutty sherry oak. Its nose unfolds with ripe banana, mango, sultana raisin, candied fig, almond and molasses oak. The palate delivers luxuriously rounded cane sweetness, distinct medium-high spirit warmth, layered dried fruit jam and soft wine cask tannins. It finishes extremely long and velvety with persistent fig, raisin and caramel vibrancy. Served neat or lightly diluted, it pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, blue cheese and dried fruit desserts.
