Glenfarclas Mariage of Casks 2023 Autumn/Winter is a limited distillery bottling of Speyside single malt at cask strength 50.5% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. This release blends multiple distinct oak cask types (sherry, refill and wine casks) to create a rich, layered Speyside profile. Its nose bursts with dried sultana, dark cherry, toffee, walnut, cinnamon and ripe orchard fruit, underpinned by soft barley malt. The palate delivers thick, rounded dried fruit sweetness, noticeable medium-high cask strength warmth, layered sherry spice and gentle wood tannins. It has an extremely long, warm finish with persistent raisin, caramel and nutty oak vibrancy. A small splash of water softens the alcohol, unlocking more delicate floral and fruit notes; it pairs excellently with dark chocolate, blue cheese and dried fruit platters when enjoyed neat as a digestif.
