Ballechin 13 Years Old 2023 Release is a peated Highland single malt official distillery bottling at cask strength 54.9% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle, matured for 13 years and released in 2023. It delivers rich smoldering peat smoke, ripe dark berry jam, creamy malt, polished vanilla oak, subtle medicinal iodine, dried plum and soft wood spice. Its intense aromatic nose bursts with prominent campfire smoke layered over sweet dark fruit undertones. The palate carries thick viscous malt balanced by robust peat smoke and velvety red fruit tannins, leading to an exceptionally long warming finish with lingering ash, dark fruit and gentle oak spice. A small splash of spring water softens its high strength to reveal deep layered smoky Highland malt complexity.
