Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 is a robust peated Campbeltown single malt official distillery bottling, crafted from intensely smoked barley at potent cask strength 57.8% ABV in a standard 700ml format. Oak maturation balances thick coastal peat smoke with ripe orchard fruit, salted caramel honey, polished light oak and subtle dried seaweed spice undertones. The nose unfolds with smoldering wet peat smoke, preserved green apple compote, creamy light vanilla custard and briny coastal barrel sweetness. The palate balances heavy medicinal smoke intensity with velvety fruity malt depth, faint citrus zest and fully softened rounded tannins. Its lengthy warming finish holds lingering ash smoke and delicate fruited wood herbal hints. Best savoured neat with a tiny splash of spring water to temper robust peat strength and unlock layered coastal malt complexity without harsh alcoholic sharpness.
