Amahagan World Malt Edition Coval is a blended Japanese world malt crafted by Nagahama Distillery, bottled at 47% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Blending imported Scottish malt with domestic Japanese distillate and finished in Coval spirit casks, it delivers bright tropical fruit, creamy cereal malt, subtle nutty spice and delicate light oak without harsh sharpness. Its aroma unfolds with ripe stone fruit, honeyed barley, faint herbal notes and gentle spirit-soaked wood. On the palate, balanced fruity sweetness meets sturdy medium-high proof warmth, wrapped in supple mild oak tannins and soft floral undertones. The medium-length finish lingers on fresh fruit, light toffee and quiet layered cask spice. Best enjoyed neat at cool temperature; a tiny splash of mineral water unlocks its cross-cultural malt complexity for smooth sipping.
