Taylor Late Bottled 2019 is a Portuguese Late Bottled Vintage Port produced by Taylor’s, bottled at 19% ABV in a 750ml standard wine bottle. Aged longer in oak casks than standard vintage port before bottling, it delivers ripe dark forest berries, dried plum, warm baking spice, subtle cocoa and soft tannic oak without harsh youthful tightness. Its aroma opens with blackberry, black cherry, raisin and gentle vanilla wood notes. On the palate, luxuriant dark fruit sweetness balances mild fortified wine warmth, wrapped in smooth, rounded tannins and faint dried herbal undertones. The lengthy finish lingers on preserved berry fruit, milk chocolate and soft oak spice. Best served slightly chilled neat as a digestif, or paired with blue cheese, dark chocolate and nut-based desserts.
