Bruichladdich Yellow Submarine III marks the 25th anniversary of the distillery's revival and continues the cult releases of 2005 and 2018. This 14-year-old combines first-fill bourbon casks with first- and second-fill Bordeaux red-wine casks.
The series recalls two unusual stories: US intelligence once suspected the distillery of producing weapons, prompting the humorous 'Whisky of Mass Distinction' release; around the same time, a yellow Ministry of Defence submarine was found off Islay. A full-size replica remains at the distillery.
Tasting notes
Nose: Honeyed oats, buttery shortbread, warm grain, roasted hazelnut, praline and nutmeg, developing syrupy pistachio-baklava sweetness with pink pepper and ginger.
Palate: Luxuriously smooth, with fresh orange peel, honeysuckle, orange blossom, crisp apple, juicy pear and creamy creme brulee. Heather and slight salinity recall Islay's coast.
Finish: Long layers of honey sweetness, gentle warm spice and toasted hazelnut, retaining a velvety texture.
Non-chill-filtered; natural sediment or cloudiness may occur.

Once your order is processed and shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number, which allows you to monitor the status of your shipment in real time. Return & Refund
Since we ship alcoholic beverages, all sales are generally final. We don't accept returns or exchanges just for a change of mind.But if things go wrong—like your bottle breaks in transit or we accidentally send you the wrong one—we've absolutely got your back! Here is how we handle it:
The 7-Day Window
If your item is damaged or incorrect, please reach out to us within 7 days of signing for your package. After 7 days, we unfortunately won't be able to process a return or exchange.
Item Condition
If we sent you the wrong item by mistake, please make sure it stays unopened and in its original condition. (If your item arrived broken, just safely take some clear photos for us instead!)
Refused or Undeliverable Packages
Any packages that are refused by the customer upon delivery, or returned to sender due to an incorrect/incomplete address provided by the customer, are subject to a return shipping and restocking fee. This fee will be deducted from your refund.
In addition, original shipping costs are strictly non-refundable for refused packages. If a package is abandoned or destroyed by the carrier due to a customer's refusal to pay local customs duties, no refund will be issued.
