Nismes Delclou 1988/2024 is an extremely long-matured artisanal French single malt distilled and bottled at Nismes Delclou Distillery, offered at mild 40% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Matured thirty-six years in gentle mixed oak casks, it delivers soft preserved orchard fruit, delicate wildflower honey, faint sun-dried stone fruit, silky aged vanilla and subtly polished mellow oak spice. Its aroma unfolds with tender white pear pulp, pale floral honey, mild apricot preserve and lightly toasted sweet oak. The palate balances faint tender cereal malt sweetness with ultra-restrained mild alcohol warmth, rounded by velvety decades-softened tannins and quiet fresh herbal floral undertones characteristic of French craft malt distilling. The lingering clean finish carries soft juicy fruit sweetness, light butterscotch caramel and faint mild nutty wood spice. Best enjoyed neat without dilution, its smooth gentle strength showcases an exceptionally rare long-aged French single malt for slow contemplative sipping.
