Tasting Notes
These notes summarise published descriptions, rather than a tasting of this bottle. Pernod Ricard highlights a sweet, smoky overall character; Japanese retailer Mukawa describes the 1L expression as relatively light and clean on the palate.
- Nose: A separate aroma breakdown has not been verified for this 1L bottling.
- Palate: Relatively light and clean, according to Mukawa's description, within the brand's sweet and smoky style.
- Finish: No verified bottle-specific finish note is available.
A Scottish Blend with a Long History
Pernod Ricard dates the creation of Something Special to 1912 and identifies Speyside malt and grain whiskies as part of its blend. This is the standard Something Special expression; it should not be confused with the separately named Legacy release or a bottle carrying an age statement.
