Artist Collective Ledaig 7 Years Old 2010 is an independent single cask bottling released by La Maison du Whisky under its Artist Collective series, an Islands malt bottled at cask strength 57.1% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Distilled in 2010 and matured for seven years, it delivers smoldering coastal peat smoke, ripe dark citrus, tangy dried sea fruit, rich caramel, briny maritime saline, charred nutty oak and faint herbal kelp notes distinctive to Ledaig’s peated island character. The nose bursts with medicinal ash smoke, zesty orange compote and intense warm roasted oak sweetness amplified by its high strength. The palate balances robust smoky malt richness with bright citrus vibrancy, subtle sea salt and tightly structured integrated oak tannins. Its lengthy warming finish lingers with lingering peat ash, salted dried fruit and marine herbal undertones. Best enjoyed neat with a tiny splash of spring water to soften the potent alcohol and unveil the layered smoky Islands malt flavour profile.
