Curated as an accessible peated Islay release, it rests eight years in oak casks to temper sharp medicinal smoke and build balanced fruity oak depth. Its nose carries briny coastal smoke, crisp green apple, subtle vanilla oak and soft sea salt sweetness without harsh alcohol vapour. The palate balances smoky marine fruit, rounded smooth spirit warmth and faint nutty barrel spice from medium-term maturation. It delivers a lingering finish of smouldering peat and light citrus notes. This approachable peated malt works neat, on rocks or with water, ideal for fans of mild coastal Islay whisky.
