Signatory Bunnahabhain 45 Years Old 1978 35th Anniversary is an ultra-aged unpeated Islay single malt bottled by Signatory at gentle 42.6% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Distilled in 1978 and matured forty-five years in blended bourbon and sherry oak casks, it delivers subtle coastal saline sweetness, thick vintage honey, sun-dried dark fruit, faint antique vanilla and supremely mellow integrated oak spice. Its aroma unfolds with soft sea mist mineral notes, viscous aged golden honey, preserved dried fig and decades-softened polished oak. The palate carries faint delicate cereal malt with restrained alcohol warmth, rounded by velvety ultra-mellow tannins and quiet floral herbal undertones. The extraordinarily long finish holds layered fruited molasses caramel, slow-fading dried fruit sweetness and subtle antique wood spice.
