Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2025
Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2025 is Suntory's 2025 limited-release Japanese blended whisky, featuring a sakura-cask-finished component. 700ml at 43% ABV.
Craftsmanship & edition differences
Mature whiskies are blended with a grain whisky component finished in Japanese cherry-wood casks. Sakura finishing describes part of the blend, not its entire maturation.
The 2025 packaging draws on yobitsugi, joining different ceramic fragments with gold. Peacock, peony and floral motifs distinguish this year's presentation.
Compare the dated label and packaging when choosing an edition. A different release year alone does not establish a different flavour profile.
Tasting Notes
Paraphrased from Suntory's 2025 release page; these are producer notes, not our own tasting.
- Nose: floral aromas with sakura and osmanthus.
- Palate: rounded, with acacia honey, pear and a delicate sakura-mochi sweetness.
- Finish: long, rich and floral.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 2025 the age of the whisky?
No. The label states “Bottled in 2025”; this is a bottling year, not an age statement or a distillation vintage.
Is the entire whisky matured in sakura casks?
No. Suntory uses a sakura-cask-finished grain whisky component as an accent within the blend.
What distinguishes the 2025 packaging?
Its design is inspired by yobitsugi, the joining of different pottery fragments with gold. Peacock, peony and other auspicious motifs appear on the illustrated carton shown in our photograph.
How does Suntory suggest serving it?
Suntory recommends a highball using one part whisky to two or three parts chilled soda over ice, stirred gently. This is a producer serving suggestion, not a description of the whisky's ingredients.
