Timorous Beastie Madeira Cask Finish is a blended Highland malt from independent bottler Douglas Laing, bottled at a balanced 48% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. A core release from the brand’s celebrated Remarkable Regional Malts line, this expression undergoes secondary maturation in seasoned Madeira wine casks to amplify rich fruity sweetness atop its classic Highland malt foundation. The nose unfolds with sun-dried raisin, candied fig, bright citrus zest, wild floral honey and soft toasted vanilla oak. On the palate, jammy Madeira fruit sweetness balances smooth creamy layered malt and gentle medium alcohol warmth, rounded by subtle polished wine-soaked oak tannins. Its medium rounded finish lingers on preserved stone fruit, light nutty spice and faint dried floral notes, equally enjoyable neat, with a splash of spring water or served over ice for casual everyday sipping.
