A limited release in the single-variety sweet-potato series, created to reveal how different potatoes shape shochu. Elegant sweet aroma and dense, pure sweetness fill the mouth with satisfying weight. Because ingredient choice has an especially clear effect in sweet-potato shochu, Amakusa Shuzo developed this series to express each variety at its fullest. Ike no Tsuyu Anno Imo is made with Anno sweet potatoes and white koji, using the original earthenware jars and steaming vessel from the brewery's founding and completing every stage by hand. Recommended on the rocks, with water, or neat.
Amakusa Sake Brewing Pond Dew Amanoimo is a sweet‑potato‑based shochu produced by Amakusa Brewery in Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, bottled at 25% ABV, 1800‑millilitre large‑format bottle. This approachable sweet‑potato shochu delivers a soft, multi‑layered aromatic profile. The nose brings ripe sweet‑potato fragrance, light earthy sweetness, subtle fruity hints and soft herbal undertones. On the palate, it is light‑to‑medium‑bodied and smooth‑textured, offering gentle root‑driven sweetness, mellow balance and clean distilled‑spirit character. Its smooth, easy‑going finish works beautifully neat, on‑the‑rocks or diluted with water, a generous large‑size bottling for everyday shochu drinking.
