Distilled on Islay in 2011 and matured for a full decade, it unites malts from multiple Islay distilleries, showcasing the island’s signature smoky maritime character. The nose features rich peat smoke, coastal brine, seaweed, charred oak and subtle dark dried fruits. On the palate, powerful smoky intensity pairs well with briny mineral notes, gentle vanilla oak and underlying dried fruit sweetness. It delivers a lengthy finish with persistent peat smoke mingled with warm wood spice; a small amount of water can soften the high alcohol and bring out deeper hidden fruity layers.
