Isle of Raasay Duncan Sherry Quarter Cask is a cask-strength Islands single malt, official distillery bottling at 52% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Matured in small quarter-size sherry casks, the compact wood contact amplifies rich sherry fruit and polished oak, balanced with the distillery’s signature light coastal peat. Its nose opens with thick raisin, dark cherry, polished sherry oak, soft smoldering island peat, vanilla and roasted walnut. The palate delivers viscous dried berry sweetness, firm medium cask-strength warmth, layered dark fruit compote and gentle toasted tannin undertones, with faint maritime smoke woven throughout. It finishes medium-long and velvety with lingering sherry caramel, preserved stone fruit and subtle smoky mineral notes. This quarter-cask release offers concentrated sherry influence, ideal for neat sipping or light water dilution for fans of fruit-forward lightly peated Island malt.
