Barbeito Madeira Sercial 10 Years Old is a dry fortified Madeira wine produced by Vinhos Barbeito from Portugal’s Madeira Island, bottled at 19% ABV in a standard 750ml bottle. Crafted from the Sercial grape and aged a minimum of ten years via traditional canteiro heat maturation, it is the driest of Barbeito’s core 10-year single-varietal Madeira range, defined by bright citrus and savoury oxidative character. The nose delivers sharp lime zest, green apple, toasted almond, light saline mineral notes and subtle dry oak spice. On the palate, vibrant crisp acidity dominates with minimal residual sugar, layered with dry nutty tannins and gentle oxidative wood flavours, supported by soft fortified wine warmth. It features a clean, lengthy dry finish with lingering citrus peel and faint salty mineral undertones. This ultra-dry Madeira is ideal as an aperitif, paired with seafood, light charcuterie or used as a versatile cooking wine for sauces and braises.
