Baron Micaela Oloroso is a dry, full-bodied Spanish oloroso sherry produced by Baron, bottled at 19% ABV in a standard 750-millilitre format. Matured long-term in open solera casks without protective flor yeast, oxidative ageing softens sharp raw wine acidity and delivers rich dried nut, dark dried fruit, polished oak and subtle leathery spice layers. The nose unfolds roasted walnut, stewed raisin and fig, polished cedar oak and faint dried tobacco spice without harsh alcoholic heat. The palate balances concentrated dry fruit and firm integrated tannins, rounded medium fortified warmth and subtle earthy herbal undertones from extended oxidative maturation. It holds a long savoury finish of dark nut and warm oak spice. This robust dry sherry works neat at room temperature alongside cured meats and hard cheeses, ideal for lovers of deep, savoury Andalusian fortified wine.
