Old Malt Cask Caol Ila 12 Years Old 2011 is a limited 25th anniversary Islay single malt bottled by Hunter Laing at 50% ABV in a standard 700ml bottle. Matured twelve years since the 2011 distillation, it delivers smouldering peat smoke, briny sea salt, ripe citrus, creamy vanilla and soft light oak spice. The nose unfolds with thick medicinal peat, ocean brine and gentle caramelised malt oak. The palate balances powerful smoky salinity with smooth honeyed sweetness, baked lemon, faint seaweed and firm mild oak tannins. Its lengthy warm finish holds persistent coastal smoky mineral notes and lingering citrus toffee sweetness.
