Distilled in 2009 and matured thirteen full years in coastal oak casks, it delivers bold medicinal peat smoke, briny sea salt, ripe citrus fruit and dark charred oak without thin watery bitterness. Its aroma opens with smouldering seaweed smoke, lemon zest, sea spray and burnt vanilla wood notes. On the palate, bright citrus sweetness meets powerful high-proof warmth, layered with heavy coastal peat, mineral salinity and firm roasted oak tannins. The lengthy finish lingers on lingering medicinal smoke, fresh citrus and robust charred wood spice.
