Tasting Notes
These notes summarise the producer's and Japanese retailer Sato Saketen's descriptions; they are not an independent tasting by Bottle Of Japan.
- Nose: A fresh, lemon-led citrus impression.
- Palate: Pronounced lemon-like acidity with gin's botanical character underneath.
- Finish: The sources emphasise a refreshing sour profile but do not give a separate finish description or duration.
Citric Acid and a Citrus-Led Recipe
The producer lists citric acid together with black lemon, citrus peels and lemon verbena. Juniper provides the gin connection, while the wider recipe includes herbs and spices such as mugwort, coriander seed, cardamom and several peppers. The defining emphasis is on lemon sourness.
For a simple serve, try it over ice with tonic water, following the producer's suggestion. Adjust the mixer to your preferred balance of acidity and sweetness.
